In the first part of this talk, Henrik Leerberg will give an introduction to UML Statecharts. He will cover the most important UML statecharts constructs and diagramming methods, as well as the relation to UML in general. The second part of the talk will cover the functionalities of the IAR tool visualSTATE and what it can do for an engineer developing embedded systems. We will also get a demo of the tool visualSTATE. After the seminar(s), we will have an open discussion about the use and future of UML and tools in the context of embedded and real-time systems.
